_______________ EFFECT OF MINERAL NUTRITION ON THE CONTROL OF Colletotrichum spp. IN AVOCADO, IN THE STATE OF MICHOACÁN. ABSTRACT: The impact of mineral nutrition with P, Ca, Mn and Si in the control of the incidence of anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum spp. in avocado (Persea americana Mill.) cv. "Hass" was evaluated in plots with a randomized block design with 23 treatments, generated from different levels of the nutrients studied, their combination and comparison with the commercial fertilization of the area. According to the recommendation, the products were applied to the soil once a month and via foliar every two weeks. The variables evaluated were percentage of incidence of flowering anthracnose (Pinc) and percentage of infection in fruits (Pi); foliar evaluation of the nutrients Ca, P, Mn and Si, in the control of Colletotrichum spp.; as well as percentage of mooring of fruit (PAM). The area under the disease progress curve (ABCPE) of the variables Pinc and Pi was calculated; the percentage of correlation between ABCPEPinc, and ABCPEPi in fruits and in PAM, in relation to the parameters for each nutrient evaluated in plant tissue. As a result, ABCPEPinc remained without significant variation (Tukey, α = 0.05) in treatments containing Ca. ABCPEPinc correlated negatively (inversely) with the content of Mn, decreasing by 34%. Similarly, ABCPEPi correlated with P and Si, decreasing Colletotrichum spp. infection by 29 and 32% respectively. MAP increased on average 9% when treatments containing P, Mn and Si were applied. The best treatment was the combination of P+Mn (T22) by decreasing ABCPEPinc and ABCPEPi, and increasing PAM.
