"Para poder obtener el registro ante el Sistema Nacional de Inspección y Certificación de Semillas, es necesario contar con una descripción varietal para demostrar que el genotipo es nuevo y distinto, este examen se realiza después de que el fitomejorador haya concluido su trabajo de mejoramiento. El presente trabajo tuvo como finalidad el obtener la descripción varietal de cuatro genotipos de trigo forrajero para el Noreste de México, siendo AN-373-09, AN-366-09 y AN-263-99 generados por el programa de Cereales perteneciente a la Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro, y comparados con la variedad comercial Bacanora. Se valoraron en tres localidades del Noreste del país (Navidad N.L., Zaragoza y Buenavista Coah.), bajo los lineamientos emitidos por la UPOV (1994), evaluando de manera aleatoria 50 plantas en campo y 20 en invernadero con tres repeticiones en diferente etapa fenológica. Los resultados de descriptores cuantitativos se analizaron mediante estadística descriptiva y los cualitativos se reportaron en porcentaje de cada nivel de caracterización. Los genotipos AN-373-09, AN-366-09 y AN-263-99 se distinguieron en cuatro de cinco caracteres cuantitativos en comparación al testigo; AN-373-09 en seis de 21; AN-366-09 en nueve de 21 y AN-263-99 en cinco de 21 todos caracteres cualitativos relacionados con Bacanora (testigo). Los genotipos estudiados se diferencian en al menos una característica y con esto cumplen con el requisito de ser nueva y diferente. Los resultados de las características fisiológicas de los materiales estudiados muestran que el material Bacanora y AN-373-99 tienen mayor capacidad de hidratación en comparación de AN-366-09 y AN-263-99, pero estos tienen mayor velocidad en la germinación fisiológica, acumulando mayor peso seco (vigor) AN-366-09 y AN-373-09, y en la calidad física cumplen con los parámetros establecidos."

"To qualify for registration with the Sistema Nacional de Inspección y Certificación de Semillas, it is necessary to have a variety description to show that the genotype is new and different, this test is performed after the breeder has completed its work of improvement. The present study was in order to obtain the varietal description of four genotypes of feed wheat to northeastern Mexico, with AN-373-09, 366-09 and AN-AN-263-99 generated by the program belonging to Cereal Universidad Autonoma Agraria Antonio Narro, and compared with the commercial variety Bacanora. They were assessed at three locations in the northeast (Navidad NL, Zaragoza and Buenavista Coah.), under the guidelines issued by the UPOV (1994), evaluating randomly 50 plants in the field and 20 in the greenhouse with three replications in different phenological stage. The results of quantitative descriptors were analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative were reported in percentage of each level of characterization. The AN-373-09, 366-09 and AN-AN-263-99 genotypes were distinguished in four of five quantitative traits compared to the control; AN-37309 in six of 21; 366-09 in nine AN-21 and AN-21 263-99 in five of all qualitative characteristics related Bacanora (control). The genotypes analyzed differ in at least one characteristic and thereby meet the requirement of being new and different. The results of the physiological characteristics of the materials studied show that Bacanora and AN-373-99 material have greater capacity compared hydration of AN-AN-366-09 and 263-99, but these are more physiological speed germination accumulating more dry weight (vigour) AN-AN-366-09 and 373-09, the physical quality and meet the established parameters."
