"The guava weevil is the main phytosanitary problem and, if not controlled in a timely manner, causes losses of 60% in production. The main combat strategy is based on the use of chemical insecticides (malathion). However, this insecticide is banned in the production of guavas for export, which makes it difficult to control this pest. In the present study, the biological effectiveness of the native strains of Beauveria bassiana and Metarrhizium anisopliae pathogens, the susceptibility of the guava weevil to plant extracts with insecticidal activity, as well as the compatibility of B. bassiana and M. anisopliae with Extracts were evaluated. plants for the control of the guava weevil, in vitro. The LC50 of the pathogenic strains was calculated, the LC50 was determined and two sublethal concentrations of the extracts showed insecticidal activity. Of the strains that showed the highest pathogenicity in the adults of C. dimidiatus, a suspension of 1x108 conidia / ml was prepared; the insects were exposed to the fungus for 30 seconds and 30 seconds at LC50 and sublethal concentrations. The results showed that the pathogenic strains for the adult were BbC4, BbC18 and BbC20 of B. bassiana. The CL50 + BbC18 treatment of pepper and CL50 + BbC20 of jicama seed were the most effective, with a mortality of 67% and 96%, respectively. Regarding the TL50, the combination of LC50+BbC20 from extracts of pepper and jicama recorded the shortest time"
