"The degradation of natural resources associated with the use of chemical fertilizers has prompted the search for new alternatives. It is for this reason that the objective of this research is to study the biostimulating effect of hydrothermal extracts of three marine macroalgae over tomato plants. The research began with the physic-chemical characterization (total sugars, phenols, proteins, antioxidant capacity, sulfates, phytohormones, monosaccharides profile and minerals) of macroalgae and aqueous extracts (hydrothermal extraction), specifically, Macrocystis pyrifera, Sargassum spp and Eisenia arborea. The establishment of tomato cultivation Sun 7705 variety, was carried out in a greenhouse, the experimental design evaluated was completely randomyzed blocks, with three treatments and one control, resulting a total of 15 repetitions per treatment. The applications of the extracts were done by foliar and via irrigation at a dose of 3 L / ha at the time of transplanting, flowering and filling the first cluster. The variables evaluated for the crop are linked to growth, nutraceutical quality andstress tolerance. The results of the characterization indicate that the macroalga and the extract with the highest content of these compounds were with E. arborea. Regarding the variables associated with growth, the treatment that showed the best results was Sargassum spp. via foliar and via irrigation, and in terms of yield, the best treatment was that of E. arborea via irrigation. The aqueous extract with the highest mineral content was M. pyrifera and the macroalga Sargassum spp. In terms of nutraceutical quality of the fruit and tolerance to stress, the treatment that showed the best results were extracts of E. arborea both via foliar and via irrigation, and Sargassum spp. via foliar"
