Con los cambios recientes en el sector energético a nivel mundial, la industria petrolera enfrenta retos importantes en la extracción de hidrocarburos, por lo que se ha priorizado la implementación de operaciones que permitan esta actividad de forma eficiente y optimizada. En este trabajo se analizará la aplicación de una de las herramientas del Lean Manufacturing, el VSM (Value Stream Mapping) con la finalidad de identificar posibles mejoras y disminución de tiempos no productivos en los procesos de perforación de pozos petroleros, de acuerdo a las experiencias previas en campos desarrollados en México. Se pretende demostrar que herramientas de análisis de eficiencia para la manufactura pueden adaptarse a industrias pesadas como la petrolera y en particular del área de perforación.

With recent changes in the energy sector worldwide, the oil industry faces significant challenges in the extraction of hydrocarbons, which is why the implementation of operations that allow this activity in an efficient and optimized manner has been prioritized. The Xoco-Mitikah urban conflict shows that the confluence of interests between the real estate and urban tourism industry embraces the common goal of designing an urban experience that makes the competitive advantages of Southern Mexico City profitable for both. Mitikah’s real estate marketing analysis showed that, through the promotion highlights of the South, the conflictive socio-territorial relationships that emerge along with the construction of real estate megaprojects are emotionally and affectively mediated.

Teacher training in the state of Chihuahua: Between the health challenge and teacher resilience

The article proposes to recover the response of the Teacher Training and Updating Institutions in the state of Chihuahua regarding the various challenges imposed by the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). The qualitative exercise analyzes the experience of 10 institutions based on the voice of their students, teachers, and principals regarding changes in academic, administrative, and organizational processes. It is concluded that the pandemic has affected each institution in different ways and with diverse intensity. Despite the achievements, the experience analyzed reveals the relative success of the using virtual platforms in the face of three basic conditions: connectivity, technological competencies, and socio-emotional skills of the teaching staff. It highlights the importance of implementing tutoring, resilience, or awareness actions of teachers and students' needs, feelings, and sufferings. It is opportune to recover the experiences of other institutions and to question especially students, thesis students and graduates.

Probando transductores de presión sumergibles para monitorear el nivel del agua en tanques

A menudo se desea monitorear el tirante en cuerpos de agua con una incertidumbre menor a ± 5 mm. En este contexto, el objetivo del presente trabajo ha sido probar dos modelos de transductores de presión sumergibles de “nueva generación”. Es decir, instrumentos que cuentan con un sensor de temperatura integrado y un datalogger que corrige automáticamente el efecto de la temperatura sobre la respuesta del sensor de presión. Los resultados experimentales y unas consideraciones teóricas sugieren que con estos transductores se puede monitorear durante semanas el tirante en tanques de agua potable, con una incertidumbre entre ± 5 y ± 7 mm [p = 0.95], mientras el tirante es menor a 5 m y la temperatura del agua permanece en un rango de ± 5 °C. En forma indirecta se muestra que no sería tan fácil monitorear el tirante en otros cuerpos de agua (lagos, ríos, canales, embalses de presas y mar), con una incertidumbre de ± 5 mm [p = 0.95].

There is speculation about moon phases influencing animal reproductive performance. A study was carried out to shed light on the influence of moon phases on estrus presentation, pregnancy rate, calving presentation, and offspring sex in cows from the Mexican dry tropical region. The reproductive data of 580 crossbred cows from 2010 to 2021 was organized according to reproductive events (estrus presentation, gestation, calving presentation, and offspring sex) occurrence during moon phases (new moon, first quarter, full moon, and last quarter). The data were analyzed by Chi-squared test and logistic regression. The full moon reduced the estrus presentation (p0.05). It is concluded that the full moon reduces estrus presentation in crossbred cows. Moon phases do not influence the gestation, calving presentation, and offspring sex.

In research in Mathematics Education, models have been reported to analyze mathematical connections in which specific connection categories are considered. In the literature, it was identified that the most used model is the Businskas with contributions from other researchers. However, the problem refers to the fact that some categories of connections limit the analysis of mathematical activity and, therefore, the research suggests that the established categories are validated and, if possible, new categories of connections are reported. Other investigations focused on exploring mathematical connections and understanding the derivative reveal that high school students, pre-service teachers, and some in-service mathematics teachers have difficulty connecting multiple representations of the derivative (e.g., algebraic, or symbolic, verbal, graphic, tabular) and establish connections between partial meanings about this concept.
