“La presente tesis explora el diseño, descripción, análisis y hallazgos de la investigación respecto a los procesos de normalización y desnormalización del envenenamiento en San Pedro Barrientos (SPB), una problemática profunda que tiene a los cánceres por asbesto como uno de los puntos más crudos y brutales. En la breve presentación doy a conocer la estructura de la tesis, y algunas reflexiones iniciales sobre mi implicación en el trabajo de campo y respecto a la antropología encarnada. La primera parte de la tesis está compuesta por dos capítulos; en el primer capítulo desarrollo el contexto de producción de la investigación y la relevancia que tuvo la convergencia de cinco grandes procesos organizativos para establecer las condiciones de posibilidad del Proyecto de Investigación-Incidencia en SPB y con ello mi aproximación al tema. Reconozco así el modo en que estas genealogías influyeron en el desarrollo, el diseño metodológico de la investigación, expongo el planteamiento del problema, el desarrollo, el diseño metodológico de la investigación y la delimitación de actores en el cual se corresponde con la propuesta teórica en tanto relacional, ecológica, con un énfasis en la observación y participación. En el segundo capítulo formulo el encuadre teórico-conceptual de la investigación el cual, partiendo del enfoque relacional de la antropología médica crítica (AMC), busca describir, analizar y establecer relaciones entre las prácticas de prevención, reparación y atención con bastante centralidad la ecología política del problema de investigación y lo que denominaré como la ecología política de la enfermedad y las prácticas y representaciones del proceso de salud-enfermedad-atención-prevención-reparación (p-s-e-a-p-r) el cual está nutrido de los prolíficos estudios desde la ecología política en salud, una subdisciplina de la ecología política con una larga trayectoria articulando procesos de salud enfermedad con elementos ecológico-políticos”.

Hoy en día, los defectos óseos representan uno de los casos de mayor impacto en la salud debido a la frecuencia con que éstos ocurren a causa de traumatismos, fracturas, enfermedades congénitas o degenerativas. En la actualidad, los implantes de tejido óseo de gran volumen se encuentran severamente restringidos a causa de las limitaciones de difusión en la interacción con el ambiente del huésped para los nutrientes, intercambio gaseoso y eliminación de desechos. Es por ello que la corrección de los defectos óseos ha cobrado gran importancia en el área de Ingeniería tisular buscando mejorar las estrategias clínicas para su tratamiento. El propósito de esta revisión es proporcionar un panorama general del desarrollo de andamios para la regeneración de tejido óseo, mostrando los avances logrados en los ensayos in vitro e in vivo en la última década

Currently, bone defects cases represent a major impact on health due to how often they occur because of trauma, fractures, congenital or degenerative diseases. Now, bone implants to large volume are severely restricted because of the diffusion limitations in the interaction

with the environment of the host for nutrients, gas exchange and waste disposal. That is why the correction of bone defects has become very important in the field of tissue engineering looking to improve clinical strategies for treatment. The purpose of this review is to provide an overview of the development of scaffolds for bone tissue regeneration, showing the progress made in the in vitro and in vivo in recent decades.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the politics around privatizations in the left-wing government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (Amlo). The aim is to identify the ideational mark and the possible breaks or continuities of the infrastructure policy in a global context characterized by the promotion of the Public-Private Parnerships (ppps) -as a modality of the privatization of public goods and services-. It is argued that the ideas around the State in the current administration do not approve the participation of the private sector in the prison, and hospital sectors, freezing, to some extent, the privatization inertia promoted since the 1980s. We concluded that despite its open opposition, the Amlo government has had to use ppps in sectors such as road, energy infraestructure, and transport, due to budget restrictions that will be aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tityus curupi n. sp., belonging to the bolivianus complex, is described from the biogeographically distinct area of Paraje Tres Cerros in north-eastern Argentina. We also present a molecular species delimitation analysis between Tityus curupi n. sp. and its sister species Tityus uruguayensis Borelli 1901 to confirm species integrity. Furthermore, a cytogenetic analysis is presented for these two species which contain different multivalent associations in meiosis, as a consequence of chromosome rearrangements, and the highest chromosome numbers in the genus. © 2017 Ojanguren-Affilastro et al. La presente investigación analiza la construcción de la identidad corpórea en El monstruo pentápodo (Tusquets, 2017), de Liliana Blum (Durango, 1974), a partir de las nociones de repugnancia y violencia. La relación entre cuerpo, repugnancia y violencia es una recurrente establecida en parte de su obra: Pandora (Tusquets, 2015) y Cara de liebre (Seix Barral, 2020) son otras narrativas que dan cuenta sobre esta preocupación, debido a que en ellas se advierte un planteamiento vinculado con lo que en esta tesina conceptualizo como cuerpoestigma, idea que engloba la construcción física y simbólica del cuerpo femenino a partir de un rasgo que lo particulariza despersonalizándolo; en consecuencia, lo hace vulnerable. Se trata de una sinécdoque corpórea que potencializa una característica física con la finalidad de que lo diferente se constituya como el cuerpo mismo. De esta manera, la gordura (en el caso de Pandora), la cicatriz del labio (en Cara de liebre) o el enanismo (en El monstruo pentápodo) se transforman en marcas totales que crean identidades corpóreas femeninas. Así, el cuerpo es utilizado por la narradora como un elemento retórico de lo repugnante, lo (in)visible y lo violen(tado)to, mismo que funciona para crear personajes que interiorizan sobre su condición física, psico-emocional y sexual. Los rasgos físicos de éstos propician situaciones crueles y agresivas en ambos sentidos: Aimeé es una mujer que provoca y siente repugnancia; asimismo, es violenta y violentada. La relación cuerpo-repugnancia-violencia es uno de los mayores rasgos a explorar en esta novela de Liliana Blum. Con El monstruo pentápodo, la autora explora la violencia atroz y el machismo imperante en México, temas que ocupan las páginas de su literatura.

"Groundwater with high fluoride concentrations has been recognized as one of the serious concerns worldwide. Besides, the fluoride released into the groundwater by slow dissolution of fluoride-containing rocks, various industries also contribute to fluoride pollution [1]. Excess intake of fluoride leads to various health problems such as dental and skeletal fluorosis, cancer, infertility, brain damage, thyroid diseases, etc. [2]. On the other hand, bromide is naturally present in surface and groundwater sources. However, during the chlorination process, bromide can be oxidized to HOBr, which can react with natural organic matter in water to form brominated organic disinfection byproducts, which are very harmful to human health [3]. Among various methods for water treatment, the adsorption process has been widely used and seems to be an efficient and attractive method for the removal of many contaminants in water, such as anions, in terms of cost, simplicity of design, and operation [4,5]. In the past years, xerogels and carbon xerogels, a new type of adsorbents, which are synthesized by the sol-gel polycondensation of resorcinol and formaldehyde, have gained attention due to their moldable texture and chemical properties [6]. Moreover, melamine addition in resorcinol and formaldehyde xerogels adds basic groups on its surface, favouring Lewis acid-base interactions between xerogels and other components by adsorption [7]. In this data article, the synthesis of three resorcinolformaldehyde (R/F) xerogels with an increasing amount of melamine (M) was carried out by colloidal polymerization (molar ratios of M/R = 0.5, M/R = 1.0, and M/R = 2.0). Additionally, samples of M/R = 0.5 xerogel were carbonized at 400, 450, and 550 degrees C under an inert atmosphere to increase their specific area. Organic and carbon xerogels obtained were characterized by FTIR, TGA, SEM, Physisorption of N 2, and the pH at the point of zero charge (pH PZC). All organic xerogels were also tested as adsorbents on the removal of fluoride and bromide ions from aqueous phase. The Freundlich, Langmuir, and Radke-Prausnitz isotherm models were applied to interpret the experimental data from adsorption equilibrium. Additionally, the data of the mass of the xerogel needed to remove fluoride and bromide from groundwater and fulfill the maximum concentration levels are also included."
