La evaluación del impacto de las variables climáticas en un invernadero ayuda a determinar ciclos de cultivos y también al uso estratégico de insumos. Técnicas experimentales, numéricas y analíticas se han desarrollado para el estudio del ambiente en un invernadero con el propósito de predecir calidad y cantidad de producción agrícola. Este trabajo de investigación analiza y aporta información sobre la función que tiene el clima diurno y nocturno, en conjunto con un análisis espacial en un invernadero. En particular, la temperatura como variable prioritaria del clima es utilizada para definir gradientes térmicos del invernadero, y a partir de allí estimar la duración del ciclo de producción de tomate en función de grados días calor. También, esta investigación evaluó el efecto que tienen los calefactores eléctricos sobre la homogeneización de temperatura en periodos críticos de baja temperatura para producción de tomate. Adicionalmente, se han estudiado las consecuencias de condiciones de operación de un invernadero en la concentración de vapor de agua e intensidad del infrarrojo cercano.

Revisiting the phylogeny and taxonomy of the Pithecellobium clade (Leguminosae, Caesalpinioideae) with new generic circumscriptions

We present the most complete molecular phylogeny to date of the Pithecellobium clade of subfamily Caesalpinioideae. This neotropical group was informally recognised (as the Pithecellobium alliance) at the end of the 20th century by Barneby and Grimes (1996) and includes five genera and 33 species distributed from the southern United States and Caribbean Islands to north-eastern South America. Our aims were to further test the monophyly of the group and its genera and to identify sister group relationships within and amongst the genera. A phylogenetic analysis of nuclear ribosomal DNA sequences (ITS and ETS) was performed. The results provide further support for the monophyly of the Pithecellobium clade. The genera Ebenopsis, Pithecellobium and Sphinga were strongly supported as monophyletic. Havardia and Painteria were found to be non-monophyletic, prompting their re-circumscriptions and the description of two new genera: Gretheria and Ricoa. New combinations are made for the three species transferred to the new genera. © Iván Tamayo-Cen et al. Tutoring to novel teachers. A fragment of skylight from the border of Ciudad Juarez

This article describes and interprets the tutoring of novice teachers in a preschool area of Ciudad Juarez. The study is situated in the interpretive paradigm; It makes use of the ethnographic method and research techniques such as participant observation and interview. The partial results show that tutoring is considered an important process for the insertion and professionalization of new teachers; however, it is mentioned that this enriching relationship is only possible when there is communication between all the people involved in the tutoring, in addition to being open to peer learning.

The Mexican environmental flow standard: scope, application and implementation

With the implementation of the Official Mexican Standard NOM-011-CONAGUA-2000, the water balance of 730 basins has been calculated and its water availability agreement is published. This rule points out to allocate water for the environment only as an annual volume since methods for estimating environmental flows were not standardized in the country. In this paper, an analysis of the environmental flow standard and examples of the suggested hydrological methods are presented. For its implementation, some steps are taking place, mainly establishing environmental water reserves and building capacities. In addition, environmental allocations are becoming a common practice for all water projects, as well as setting limits to hydrological alterations by hydroelectric dams. The standard promotes the use of technical integration tools to analyze the responses of ecosystems to changes in the flow regime and adaptive management under different scenarios of water use. Although the main steps have been taken, its implementation as mandatory rule will take time.

Los retos de la universidad frente al emprendimiento social: reflexiones obtenidas de una intervención -acción

A través de las reflexiones obtenidas de una intervención acción llevada a cabo por alumnos y profesores con el objetivo de impulsar el emprendimiento social en un barrio de la ciudad de Celaya. Se identificaron tres retos recursivos para la formación en las Universidades: a) desarrollo de teorías accionables, b) la complejidad, la dinámica de los sistemas y sus efectos derivados en la acción y c) la epistemología relacionada a la construcción de la realidad. Dichos retos invitan a los actores a involucrarse no solamente a nivel teórico sino a nivel práctico en el emprendimiento social, si bien esto no genera directamente emprendedores sociales, si permite sensibilizar ampliamente en el aspecto social y crear actores universitarios capaces de dirigir proyectos de emprendimiento social.

Esta investigación aborda la problemática de la movilización social y de acción política que impulsan grupos de ex-trabajadores bananeros de la región de Chinandega, Nicaragua, desde los inicios de la década de los noventa. En general, este movimiento organizativo ha tenido como principal demanda la indemnización por daños físicos y morales, producto de la exposición que tuvieron los ex-trabajadores al nematicida conocido como Nemagón-Fumazone (en adelante (DBCP)- ; dicho químico fue usado por la Standard Fruit Company, una transnacional bananera de origen estadounidense.
