Se realizó un análisis de la composición florística de La Barranca de Monte Obscuro. El área de estudio se localizó dentro del municipio de Emiliano Zapata, en la zona cálido subhúmeda del centro del estado de Veracruz. En el área la heterogeneidad del paisaje determina la presencia de tres tipos de vegetación: selva baja caducifolia, encinar tropical y selva alta y mediana subperennifolia. Se presenta una lista florística que incluye 635 especies, 428 géneros y 123 familias. Del análisis del inventario se estima que la familia con mayor número de especies fue Orchidaceae, seguida por Asteraceae y Leguminosae. La selva baja caducifolia fue el tipo de vegetación con mayor diversidad de plantas vasculares seguida por el encinar tropical y la selva alta y mediana subperennifolia respectivamente. Más de la mitad de las especies están consideradas maleza. Se registra la presencia de 16 especies endémicas del estado y 13 especies en alguna categoría de riesgo. La Barranca de Monte Obscuro es rica en especies de plantas vasculares. Se discute de manera general los patrones de la vegetación, y la importancia de la flora de la zona, así como, su estado de conservación y potencial actual. _______________ FLORISTIC LIST OF MONTE OBSCURO'S RIVER VALLEY, MUNICIPALITY OF EMILIANO ZAPATA, VERACRUZ, MEXICO. ABSTRACT: It was carried out an analysis of the structure and floral composition of the river valley of Monte Obscuro. The area of study was located in the municipality of Emiliano Zapata in the zone warm sub humid of the center of the state of Veracruz. In the zone the heterogeneousness of the landscape determines the presence of three types of vegetation, tropical dry forest, tropical oak grove and medium and high semi-evergreen forest. A floral list is presented that includes 635 species, 428 genus and 123 families. Of the analysis of such inventory is determined that: the family with the greatest number of species was Orchidaceae followed by Asteraceae and Leguminosae. The tropical dry forest was the type of vegetation with greater diversity of vascular plants followed by the tropical oak grove and the medium and high semi-evergreen forest respectively. More than the half of species is considered weeds. Was registered the presence of 16 endemic species of the state, and 13 species in some category of risk. In conclusion, the river valley of Monte Obscuro is very rich in species of vascular plants. Were discussed in general way the patterns of the vegetation and the importance of the flora of the zone, as well as their state of conservation and their potential handling.
