Description
Abstract - The main objective of this report is to present the overall results from the APP project survey across the five project countries. The results are meant to share knowledge on sustainab le intensification practices (SIPs) landscape, maize productivity, access to institutional services and welfare of farm households in the project target areas. The report is mainly based on descriptive statistics and it is organized as follows:- chapter two of this reports outlines the main socioeconomic characteristics of the households in the study areas of the five project countries mainly concentrating on the demographic characteristics of the households surveyed and ownership of key livestock and non-livestock assets. On the other hand, chapter three delves into adoption of sustainable agricultural intensification practices across the five countries with more detailed analysis and discussion of adoption of improved maize varieties and inorganic fertilizer. The profiling of surveyed households based on key welfare outcomes is outlined in chapter four while chapter five describes household income structure, risks and livelihood shocks.
