In the beginning there were approximations, then men had the sacred fire that demigods (half human men, human half gods) granted them, not without innumerable sacrifices, then only the profane fire remained, desecrated fire, which they lit to commemorate their pristine origin. Finally the memory remained, imagining intuition, since then they have the arts that still ignite, for some brief moment, the sacred fire of the imagination. This essay projects some meditative incursions into the infinite groove of time that is duration - meat and life of performance arts. This brief essay, risks and experiences around, and from the contours, proliferating and evanescent that make up the plot between body, time, art, performance, politics. This plot allows us to watch over and unveil the possibility of redoing the questions of contemporary art and, perhaps with it, reorienting the possible answers or at least reorienting the quest, which in these times is not a small matter.
En el principio hubo aproximaciones, luego los hombres tenían el fuego sagrado que los semidioses, hombres mitad humanos, humanos mitad dioses, les otorgaron, no sin innumerables sacrificios, después únicamente les quedó el fuego profano, profanado, que encendían para rememorar su origen prístino. Finalmente quedó el recuerdo, intuición imaginante, desde entonces tienen las artes que aún encienden, por algún breve instante, el fuego sagrado de la imaginación. Este ensayo proyecta algunas incursiones meditativas en el surco infinito del tiempo que es la duración –carne y vida del performance. Este breve ensayo, arriesga y experimenta en torno, y desde los contornos, proliferantes y evanescentes que configuran la trama entre cuerpo, tiempo, arte, performance, política. Dicha trama nos permite velar y develar la posibilidad de rehacer las preguntas del arte contemporáneo y, quizá con ello, reorientar las posibles respuestas o por lo menos los senderos y caminos de búsqueda, lo cual en estos tiempos que corren no es poca cosa.
