The ways of interacting within the society change constantly, the different spaces of social relationship are altered by the insertion of the smartphone. Municipal employees are not exempt from the effects of the smartphone and WhatsApp in their way of interacting with their work colleagues and friends. The objective of the present exploratory investigation was to survey 19 employees who work in the offices of the Guadalupe Zacatecas Municipal Presidency. A quantitative instrument of 121 questions was applied, of which 16 variables of the information were chosen, they were correlated in SPSS 22 through Spearman's Rho statistical test, later an ANOVA F test was constructed, to know how the variables depend. It was concluded that the need to investigate in greater depth the use of WhatsApp, by the workers, is due to the constant contact of this application in the work areas, due to the fact that through the WhatsApp peer groups they receive information work outside of his office duties. Finally it was also found that talking with your friends and colleagues through this application can be a way to relax.
Las maneras de interactuar al interior de la sociedad cambian constantemente, los diferentes espacios de relación social se ven alterados por la inserción del teléfono inteligente. Los empleados municipales no están exentos de los efectos que tiene el smartphone y el WhatsApp en su forma de interactuar con sus compañeros de trabajo y amigos. La presente investigación exploratoria tuvo como objetivo encuestar a 19 empleados que laboran en las oficinas de la Presidencia Municipal de Guadalupe Zacatecas. Se aplicó un instrumento cuantitativo de 121 preguntas, de las cuales se eligieron 16 variables de la información, se correlacionaron en SPSS 22 a través de la prueba estadística Rho de Spearman, posteriormente se construyó una prueba ANOVA F, para conocer cómo dependen las variables. Se concluyó que, la necesidad de investigar a mayor profundidad el uso del WhatsApp, por parte de los trabajadores, es por el constante contacto de esta aplicación en las áreas de trabajo, debido a que por medio de los grupos de compañeros de WhatsApp reciben información laboral fuera de sus funciones en la oficina. Finalmente también se encontró que el platicar con sus amigos y compañeros de trabajo por medio de esta aplicación puede ser una forma de relajarse.
