"Tener información de las relaciones existentes entre los diferentes grupos germoplásmicos, así como de sus áreas de adaptación y su respuesta a la interacción genotipo x ambiente son herramientas esenciales en la toma de decisiones dentro de los diversos programas de mejoramiento. Este trabajo tuvo por objetivos (i) probar que tres grupos germoplásmicos de amplia utilidad en el programa de mejoramiento de la región ecológica del Bajío, exhiben diferente potencial en la variable de mayor interés económico, el rendimiento, (ii) hacer un análisis del comportamiento de cinco ambientes por su capacidad para, representar el área de interés y para discriminar los genotipos en evaluación, y (iii) estudiar los patrones de respuesta de los grupos, los ambientes y su interacción. Para probar la hipótesis de que los grupos germoplásmicos tienen diferente potencial para rendimiento, se efectuó un análisis de varianza (ANVA); la comparación de los ambientes y el estudio de la respuesta a la interacción genotipo ambiente se realizó mediante el empleo de los modelos multiplicativos “Regresión en los Sitios” y “Efectos Principales Aditivos y la Interacción Multiplicativa”. Los resultados demostraron estadísticamente que los grupos y los ambientes difieren en comportamiento para el potencial de rendimiento; los modelos multiplicativos permitieron una clara clasificación de los ambientes y del estudio de la interacción; el grupo germoplásmico de mayor potencial y menos interacción es el Ideotipo; la localidad más eficiente en la discriminación de genotipos fue Celaya."
"To have information, of the existent relationships among the different germoplasm groups as well as of their areas of adaptation and their response to the genotype x environment interaction are essential tools for taking decisions inside the diverse programs of improvement. This work had for objectives (i) to prove that three germoplasm groups of wide utility in the program of improvement of the ecologic region the Bajio, exhibit different potential in the variable of more economic interest, the yield, (ii) to make an analysis of the performance of five environments for their capacity to represent the area of interest and to discriminate against the genotypes in evaluation, and (iii) to study some response patterns of the groups evaluated in five environments and their interaction. In order to prove the hypothesis that the germoplasm groups have different potential average for yield, a variance analysis was made; the comparison of the environments and the study of the response to the interaction environments x genotype were made using the multiplicative models "Regression in the Sites" and "Additive Main Effects and Multiplicative Interaction.The results demonstrated statistically that the groups and the environment differ in performance for the yield potential; the multiplicative models allowed a clear classification of the environments and of the study of interaction; the germoplasm group of more potential and less interaction is the “Ideotipo”; the most efficient environment in the discrimination of genotypes was Celaya."
