"The present work had as general objective to obtain the varietal description of three tomato genotypes for registration purposes. In this study the excellent genotypes was used AN - Ti1 (F3), AN - Td1 (R1) and AN - Td4 (Q3), generated by the program of physiotechnical breeding of tomato of the Universidad Autonoma Agraria “Antonio Narro”, and as varieties checks the genotypes Rio Grande and Toro they were used. The investigation was carried out in three locations, the first evaluation environment was carried out in The Jaroza ranch, in Paila, Coahuila, the second environment settled down in bordering lots to the six greenhouse of the UAAAN, in Buenavista, Saltillo and the third town settled down in Rancho Nuevo, municipality of Ramos Arizpe. The evaluations were carried out under open conditions, in evaluation lots of the program of physiotechnical breeding of tomato of the UAAAN. The describers were evaluated in 20 plants, being considered each one of them as an a replication in the five genotypes, for the three study locations. The characterization was carried out of agreement with the guidelines for the execution of the exam of the distinction, the homogeneity and the stability of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) for the cultivation of Tomato (TG/44/10). For the statistical analysis of the variables was used the Statistical Analysis System SAS version 8.2 (2001), where it was carried out a combined variance analysis, comparison of averages with the test of least significative difference, and for the determination of the parameters of stability in the genotypes, the program PARAM was used, based on the pattern proposed by Eberhart and Russell (1966). The evaluation of the qualitative describers of fruit in postharvest was carried out in the Physiotechnical Laboratory, and in the Seed Quality Laboratory of the Master in Technology of Seeds in the Department of Plant Breeding of the University. In the case of the describer peduncle: abscission layer (D20), in four of the characterized genotypes it is present, and alone it is absent the abscission layer in the check variety Rio Grande, being shown a different characteristic in this evaluated describer. For the evaluated quantitative variables it was observed that exist highly significant differences (P <0.01) for the number of inflorescences (D3) and for the describer longitude of the internode (D5), in locations and evaluated genotypes, as well as for the describer folioles longitude (D7), and longitude of the abscission layer (D21), indicating that these characteristics are influenced by the environment, and for the weather factors (light, water, temperature), which influences in the processes phenologics and physiologic of the cultivation; not finding statistical differences in the other variables evaluated in all their variation sources, indicating with this that the varieties behave stable under the three evaluated environment. The comparative results of the excellent genotypes AN-Ti1 (F3), AN-Td1 (R1) and AN-Td4 (Q3), generated by the program of physiotechnical breeding of tomato of the UAAAN, they show to the describers that differ of the varieties checks they are, the D9, D20, D24, D25, D26, D27, D28, D29, D30, D33 and D41. This way it is fulfilled that specified by the UPOV (SNICS-SAGARPA 2001), since so that a variety is registration object, it settles down that in at least in a characteristic it has to differ with the reference varieties to give execution with the distinctivity parameter. The results of the parameters of stability in the evaluated quantitative characters of the genotypes in study, show in the environmental indexes for the D3, the best answer for the Jaroza location in a 0.4833, for the D5 all the varieties behave stable showing for this describer the best environmental index the Jaroza location (9.800), the D7 it showed a favorable answer for Rancho Nuevo with an environmental index of 6.1167, for the character D8 the favorable answer for the environmental index it presented Rancho Nuevo location with a value of 5.500 and for the D21, the genotypes present stability, except the variety check Rio Grande that has the absence of this character. The characters of qualitative type in plant and fruit for the evaluated genotypes presented a uniform answer in their diverse levels of characterization, that which is very outstanding, since the describers of qualitative type are the most important in a varietal description. In answer to the analyses of the qualitative and quantitative characters the genotypes is recommended AN-Ti1 (F3), AN - TD1 (R1) and AN-TD4 (Q3) for its registration as new varieties, due to its smaller interaction genotype - environment shown in the diverses evaluation locations. The genotypes generated by the program of physiotechnical breeding of tomato of the UAAAN will be subject to valuation for their inscription in the catalog of varieties, since it is fulfilled that specified by the SNICS of being different, standardize and stable, with regard to the comparing varieties of reference."
