Genomic prediction (GP) can be used in the breeding of polysomic polyploid plant species. Different models can be used to generate the genomic prediction including single trait and multi-trait models. The data provided in this dataset were used to investigate the accuracy of four different genomic prediction models use for several traits in potato. The results of the analysis are reported in the accompanying journal article.

It is important to understand the best way to introduce this diversity into elite breeding materials. This files in this dataset provide phenotypic and genotypic data used to compare genomic prediction approaches and different cross-validation scenarios on a set of wheat families obtained from crosses between elite materials and diverse germplasm bank accessions. The linked top cross population (LTP) materials analyzed in the study were screened under yield potential, drought, and heat stress conditions.

Several different genome-based prediction models are available for the analysis of multi-trait data in genomic selection. The supplemental files included in this dataset provide six extensive multi-trait wheat datasets (quality and grain yield) that enable the comparison of performance of genomic-enabled-prediction when calculating the prediction accuracy using different methods. The related article describes the results of the analysis and reports that trait grain yield prediction performance is better under a multi-trait model as compared with the single-trait model.
