Application of spheroidal agglomerates of γ-Al2O3 in the fluoride removal from aqueous medium

En el presente estudio se investigó un adsorbente aglomerado esferoidal de γ-Al2O3 obtenido a partir de pseudoboehmita para la eliminación eficaz de fluoruro de un medio acuoso. Las propiedades superficiales se caracterizaron por diversas técnicas: XRD, fisisorción de N2, FE-SEM/EDS, RMN 27Al, adsorción de piridina por FT-IR, PZy tamaño de partícula. Se llevaron a cabo experimentos en lotes y se compararon con una alúmina activada comercial (AA). El proceso se llevó a cabo a pH 5, 7 y 9, a 25 y 35 ºC. Los resultados experimentales indicaron que los aglomerados esferoidales de γ-Al2O3 eliminan hasta 15 mg/g, con una capacidad de adsorción mayor que AA de 13 mg/g, a pH 5, estudiados a 25 y 35 ºC. El proceso de adsorción de F-en γ-Al2O3 y AA siguió la cinética de pseudo-primer orden y la isoterma de Langmuir. Los resultados muestran un adsorbente eficaz para la eliminación de F-.

A spheroidal agglomerate γ-Al2O3 adsorbent obtained from pseudoboehmite for effective removal of fluoride from aqueous medium was investigated in the present study. The surface properties were characterized by several techniques: XRD, physisorption of N2, FE-SEM/EDS, 27Al NMR, FT-IR Pyridine adsorption, PZ and particle size. Batch experiments were conducted and they were compared with a commercial activated alumina (AA). The process was carried out at pH 5, 7, and 9, then at 25 and 35 ºC. Batch experimental results indicated that the spheroidal agglomerates of γ-Al2O3 remove up to 15 mg/g with a higher adsorption capacity than AA of 13 mg/g, at pH 5, studied at 25 and 35 °C. The F−adsorption processes in γ-Al2O3 and AA followed the pseudo-first-order kinetics and the Langmuir isotherm. The results showed an adsorbent effective for removal of F−.

El artículo 5 del Código Fiscal de la Federación de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos establece que “Las disposiciones fiscales que establezcan cargas a los particulares y las que señalen excepciones a las mismas, así como las que fijan infracciones y sanciones, son de aplicación estricta” (Cámara de Diputados, 2012). El propósito del presente artículo es discutir sobre el concepto de “aplicación estricta” demostrando que es insostenible lingüística y racionalmente y, a partir de ello, proponer un nuevo concepto pertinente a la argumentación fiscal llamado “construcción del sentido” de las disposiciones fiscales.

Therefore a new concept is proposed to the tax argument called “making sense” or “constructing sense”.

From character to person. A contribution to the study of characterization of real people in factual narrative texts

In this paper we propose some arguments in favor of the terminological differentiation between agents in fictional settings (characters) and those in factual settings (people, actors, etc.), and nevertheless we suggest the applicability of the tools of narratology to factual journalistic texts. Then, we propose an analytical-descriptive model -conceived only as provisional- which, although it resorts to traditional tools of narratology "in the strict sense" (that is, the one that deals exclusively with fictional texts), tries to do justice to the aforementioned categorical difference between fictional and factual texts insofar as it is accompanied, in the presentation, by a series of mediations that allow the extrapolation from one setting to the other. This model will be explained on the basis of the analysis of a fragment of a recently published journalistic chronicle, referring to the death of the Argentine soccer player Diego Maradona.

Las danzas tradicionales, como las de los pueblos originarios del estado de Veracruz en México, son invaluables discursos históricos de la memoria. A través de ellas y su constante repetición, las comunidades y pueblos practicantes transmiten valores y consolidan sus identidades. Es por lo que se constituyen como complejos sistemas interculturales mantenedores de conocimiento, atributos por los cuales, necesitan ser replanteadas para un análisis en profundidad que vaya más allá de las formas prototípicas acostumbradas. Traditional dances, such as those of peoples from the state of Veracruz in Mexico, are invaluable historical discourses of memory. Through them and their constant repetition, practicing communities and peoples transmit values and consolidate their identities. Therefore, they are constituted as complex intercultural systems maintaining knowledge, attributes by which, they need to be rethinker for an in-depth analysis that goes beyond the usual proto-typical forms. Therefore, in this work it is proposed to examine them from the historiographic approach, not without first rethink them nonwriting spellings, the result of historiographic systematization.

Habitability conditions for floods: the case of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico

At present, there are changes in the environment that favor the presence of extreme climatic phenomena such as floods, this exposure implies that the populations of urban areas suffer effects on their material assets, which limits their capacity for individual and / or family development. Given the lack of local territorial planning, the establishment of colonies was allowed on the banks of the Sabinal river and its tributaries that present episodes of flooding during the rainy season (Sistema Municipal de Protección Civil, 2015).

 

The study evaluates the habitability conditions of the urban population exposed to flooding, the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas is taken as a reference, since historically it is a recurring problem during the summer. The methodology interrelates geostatistical, spatial and cartographic databases with hemerographic information sources based on the review of the literature for the construction of the general index, determined in dimensions that group social, economic, educational aspects, availability of basic services, goods with those that count the dwellings and their accessibility, etc., on a geographical scale of Urban Geostatistical Areas (AGEB).

 

The results obtained generated an index on the distribution of habitability conditions by urban Ageb, they are interrelated with spatial data on floods and their relationship with Sustainable Development Goal 11 (ODS), which proposes to improve infrastructure conditions in cities and towns. sustainable communities so that the inequality originated among the population exposed to future extreme flood events that occur in the different areas that make up the city is reduced.
