The Chemical Evolution of Narrow Emission Line Galaxies: the Key to their Formation Processes

Using the largest sample of narrow emission line galaxies available so far, we show that their spectral characteristics are correlated with different physical parameters, like the chemical abundances, the morphologies, the masses of the bulge and the mean stellar age of the stellar populations of the host galaxies. It suggests that the spectral variations observed in standard spectroscopic diagnostic diagrams are not due solely to variations of ionization parameters or structures but reflect also the chemical evolution of the galaxies, which in turn can be explained by different galaxy formation processes.

Utilizando la mayor muestra de galaxias con líneas de emisión angostas disponible hasta el momento, se muestra que sus características espectrales están correlacionadas con diferentes parámetros físicos, como las abundancias químicas, las morfologías, las masas del bulbo, y la edad estelar promedio de las poblaciones estelares de la galaxia anfitrio-na. This article describes and interprets the tutoring of novice teachers in a preschool area of ​​Ciudad Juarez. The study is situated in the interpretive paradigm; It makes use of the ethnographic method and research techniques such as participant observation and interview. The partial results show that tutoring is considered an important process for the insertion and professionalization of new teachers; however, it is mentioned that this enriching relationship is only possible when there is communication between all the people involved in the tutoring, in addition to being open to peer learning.

La publicación de la Ley General de Educación Superior abrió la discusión para replantear la configuración del quehacer de las Instituciones de Educación Superior, sus prioridades y su vinculación social real. En razón de lo anterior la formación del profesorado en educación superior emergió como una prioridad por mandato de ley sin un tejido institucional claro para su problematización y abordaje. Producto de la propia normativa, el Sistema de Evaluación y Acreditación para la Educación Superior estableció elementos para pensar desde una óptica cualitativa y de impacto social; sin embargo, la interrogante que surge es ¿cuál es la situación actual en materia de formación continua del profesorado dentro de las instituciones de educación superior?

Para intentar resolver la interrogante, el presente texto propone una conceptualización de la formación docente, su origen y los retos emergidos tras una crisis sanitaria; así como estrategias para realizar un diagnóstico institucional que visibilice las áreas susceptibles de mejora para una primera intervención. El trabajo es resultado de un acercamiento a la formación docente, desde una perspectiva institucional, en la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN) y parte de un ejercicio de diálogo entre la investigación acción y la Metodología del Marco Lógico y, a partir de ello, propone una estrategia de política pública para su atención inicial en las Unidades UPN de la Ciudad de México.

Por lo general, las herramientas que se utilizan para la planeación de proyectos han sido de gran utilidad para alcanzar las metas. El control y seguimiento de los proyectos no son la excepción, pues además son una parte fundamental en la planeación. Los usuarios buscan que estas herramientas sean de utilidad para el éxito y la culminación de sus proyectos. Sin importar el tamaño de los mismos, todos exigen tiempo, recursos y simplificación de los procesos; hasta los proyectos más sencillos pueden organizarse mejor si se usa un software de administración de proyectos. Es por ello que se realizó una búsqueda del software para el control y seguimiento del proyecto y como resultado de esa búsqueda, el software Microsoft Project presentó mayores ventajas con respecto a los otros programas evaluados. Este software seleccionado se aplicó para la gestión del proyecto “Caracterización y diagnóstico hídrico nacional” y los resultados fueron que con este software se pudo tener un mejor control del proyecto, pudiendo hacer los ajustes inmediatos cuando eran requeridos.

Teacher training in the state of Chihuahua: Between the health challenge and teacher resilience

The article proposes to recover the response of the Teacher Training and Updating Institutions in the state of Chihuahua regarding the various challenges imposed by the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). The qualitative exercise analyzes the experience of 10 institutions based on the voice of their students, teachers, and principals regarding changes in academic, administrative, and organizational processes. It is concluded that the pandemic has affected each institution in different ways and with diverse intensity. Despite the achievements, the experience analyzed reveals the relative success of the using virtual platforms in the face of three basic conditions: connectivity, technological competencies, and socio-emotional skills of the teaching staff. It highlights the importance of implementing tutoring, resilience, or awareness actions of teachers and students' needs, feelings, and sufferings. It is opportune to recover the experiences of other institutions and to question especially students, thesis students and graduates.
